| You will experience the Salt River Brass as never before in this concert that highlights
the talents of soloists on each instrument. We kick off with the Carnival of Venice,
a famous set of variations that showcases the prowess of the entire band.
Our trumpets shine on the Brandenburg Concerto No. 6, and our "bone" section swings to the
ragtime beat of Lassus Trombone. The band sets a variety of musical moods with Ravenswood,
a march by British composer William Rimmer, the first movement of Schubert's Unfinished Symphony,
and with our own Patrick Sheridan's arrangement of Ashokan Farewell, the haunting theme song from
the PBS series, The Civil War. This concert is Class Brass!
